Yiğit Mercan is a dynamic hospitality entrepreneur and communications strategist with a strong academic background and a deep-rooted passion for brand building. He holds dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from one of Turkey’s top universities, where he completed a demanding double major program.
Yiğit began his career in İzmir, Turkey, where he launched and operated several successful restaurants and boutique hotels, particularly in the iconic summer destination of Alaçatı. He played a hands-on role in every aspect of these businesses—from conceptual development and branding to menu creation, event planning, staff recruitment, and full-scale operations. His ability to build a brand from scratch and attract loyal clientele has been a consistent hallmark of his work.
With a strong focus on communication, strategy development, and influencer marketing, Yiğit has now transitioned his hands-on hospitality expertise into a full-fledged creative agency service. As a co-founder of Elephant NYC, he brings a unique blend of operational insight and brand storytelling to help businesses grow and thrive in a fast-paced digital landscape.
